Colin Simms, LMSW completed his graduate work with a Master's in Social Work from Salisbury University. He is LGBTQIA allied and provides individual therapy for adolescents and adults.
Colin’s goal in therapy is to identify and treat current needs that will provide the individual with a fulfilling life. He aims to provide a culturally sensitive experience and works to accommodate approaches to match the lifestyle of the individual that will support them as they transition into therapy.
Colin utilizes a variety of therapy to support individuals including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. He has experience working with mood-related issues including depression and anxiety, bipolar and related issues, problems related to schizophrenia, and family issues. While this is a general list pertaining to current work, he is open to working to best support an individual on addressing more specific needs they might have.
